2/2/25 - Had an incredible experience at Ampersand on a Sunday afternoon. Great location in Short North with a really modern inside space. Miso Ramen blew away my expectations. Local Greens Salad was really good to split as well. Great service (nothing better than having your leftovers boxed!)
Great food, ambiance and service! Amber the General Manager was so helpful and provided great recommendations on both the food and drinks. The place has a great veg selection and we ordered the Fungus among us , the vegan donburi rice bowl and the steamed bun . Everything came out fresh and delicious . By far the best ramen place in town !
My friends and I decided to go here last Saturday for restaurant week. This restaurant is located in the short north so the parking options are on the street or in a garage. The inside isn't huge but it's nice and trendy. We got to sit at the table that's in the ground. It was really cool but it's not for people with joint issues because getting down there takes some work lol. I ordered the chicken gyoza for an appetizer and they were delicious with the amazing sauce. It even came with kimchi which I loved. For my entree I got the tonkotsu ramen and it was good, but I think I had higher expectations. The flavors weren't as strong as I expected. I had an overall good experience but I am interested in trying the beef udon next time.
Went to Ampersand with some friends for lunch on a Saturday afternoon for Restaurant Week! I ended up not participating in restaurant week because the lunch RW menu is only available during the week. Because we went around 1pm, it wasn't very busy. We sat at a real unique table. Our server was very polite, and the food came out within a reasonable amount of time. There is no parking lot, so we parked on high street, which is a little stressful but very common for the area.

Wow! Met friends here for lunch and we had a delightful time. We each chose the $15 lunch special with the choice of appetizer and entree. Edamame can be a bit boring but this was NOT! Perfectly salty with some spice. My Fungus Among Us ramen was delicious. The mushrooms were flavorful and well seasoned. Mushrooms in some soups can taste very rubbery but these were delightful. The only miss was the amount of loose tea in my earl gray but these meal was wonderful so 5 happy stars!
This cocktail took us by surprise. It had tequila and a bit of a kick from the Thai chili. We really enjoyed it. The ramen wasn't traditional, but very flavorful. My partner loved it so we'll definitely be back.
Popped in early on Friday evening. We found a street parking spot and got a quick table seating. We had a newcomer in our three top and our server was really into the news we brought a newbie. Turns out our server was the owner, Meghan! 3 very special cocktails and 3 special dishes (1 tonkatsu with chicken and two miso) and we were a happy threesome. Megan directed us to her Westerville restaurant, Asterisk, which we went to the next night!
Myself and a colleague tried this place and it was pretty good. We opted to get the lunch special. Which was definitely a good deal for 15.00 bucks. At the table we ordered the Nori Fries, Vegetable Gyoza, & The Crab Rangoon. For the Meal we got the Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl and Pork Chashu Rice Bowl . The fries were pretty good, the crab Rangoon, was probably my favorite. For my dish I got the teriyaki chicken rice bowl. I wasn't impressed. But it was good and healthy. Service was a little slow. But overall the restaurant was nice and and clean. and our waiter was kind. It was nice to try a new restaurant that I had never been to before.
